Inspection lot not getting generated

Hai all,

For a material I have activated inspection type 03 inprocess inspection during production. In the routing for the same material i have assigned inspection characteristics. But when i created the production order inspection lot is not getting generated. why so? Can any body help me out.

Hai,

Inspection lot will be generated only after online confirmation of the routing step ( Say operation 20 or 30)

for which you have assigned MIC.

Inspection lot will not be generated immediately after release of production order.
