Identifying Obsolete SNP master data

Hi All,

How can we identify the Obsolete master data in SNP & get rid of that.

How does the generation of Item-Customer combination happens.

We have a requirement to put some kind of filters to identify the Item-Customer combos with no new demand so that they are not generated while master data generation happens for SNP. In our case they are being generated even if demand does not come.

Hi Rahul,

You can not delete the obsolete master data from APO completely, but you can mark for deletion for product location combination through CIF from R3. Products which are marked for deletion are obsolete in APO.

As Siva said, products can not be extended automatically to customer location automatically through CIF, needs to be extended manually one by one or using some upload tools.

Is this VMI scenario ? System will not generate any product - customer location combinations in SNP if there is demand on the products.

Hi Rahul,

If you wish to not be planned in SNP & DP or relevant for SNP but not for DP, then appropriately you can select the indicator "SDP relevance" in the product master > properties tab.

Hi,

Do you mean that Product + Customer location in SNP = the Item-Customer combos?

The Products at customer location (Product master in APO) will not be generated automatically thru' CIF, we nedd to maintain those manually in APO.

Please check the procedure "how you are creating the Products in APO at customer location"?
