sorting in a stacked bar graph?

Hi experts,

I have a graph with [Region], [Year], [measure-sales]

I want to turn it to a stacked bar with Year on X and Region on Y. My problem is that I want to sort regions by sales.

If I turn the graph to crosstab I can order it by Sales for a column (for example, for 2009). That could work for me, but when I turn it to graph again, there is no sort.

I attach the graph.

Any workaround?

Thanks in advance,

Kind Regards,

Sergio

I solved using a variable dimension with the sales for each region and ordering using an alarm.

No, it is not possible like that

because in vertical bar chart: the mesure must be take in y axis because its self shows only measures values

Horizental bar chart: the mesure must be take in x axis because its self shows only measures values

SO

at least one measure in X axis or Y axis on there chars, region, country not possible in X and Y.because both are dimensions. take dimensions in different dimension places.

if you apply legend(from table properties) it shows they performence result by alerts..

wait for your's replay

Thank you,

Hello Praveen,

When you say "if you apply legend(from table properties) it shows they performence result by alerts.." what does it mean?

When I view the legend I see the real order is applying to the graph, is it what you meant? So, are you suggesting there is no way to do it?

Thanks a lot,

Sergio

Hi,

First you can sort by year in the report and Turn to / drag the chart as Stacked bar chart and place the dimensions as you like in the view structure and click on view results. It will display the Sorting order.

All the Best,
