stock inconsistency

Hello Team

I am facing one issue where in Md04 i see some stock in transfer plant , but there is no such stock.

Last time stock was moved to this plant was via physical inventory document and material document was created with mvt type 701.When this movement has happened stock came as unrestricted and we started seeing this stock in transit plant which is not true.

can somebody help me how to remove this inconsistency.

    Hi Sarika ,

Please perform consistency check with MB5K transaction . This will check stock consistency in MM for this material .

    • I dont believe that a 701 could have caused that issue, as it is not possible to do a physical inventory on in-transit stock.

SAP processes accomodate phyiscal processes, nobody can count material that is somewhere on a truck anywhere between 2 locations, hence you cannot do a physical inventory on in-transit stock. with 701 movement.

Receive the in-transit stock into your storage location and then scrap it or do another physical inventory to make it zero (if there is no physical stock). This should solve your issue, even you do not know its origin.

in MMBE pl see in the extreme right whether there is any block stock, which may also get added in MD04. you may also check the stock in MARD table whether any stock is appearing

    • If you go in MD04 and click the stock icon then you are taken to MMBE, hence MMBE and MD04 should be equal.

MMBE has much more columns than the 3 which you see in the first screen. There are button to scroll to the right, you can as well double click plant line and you get a pop-up with all stock fields.

    Hi sarika,

If this is realated to Warehouse management stock, then this problem will occur.if it warehouse management stock then use movement type 711.

    Thanks & Regards

it may be due to stock transfer mat document ( 641 S ) created for 10 while the goods receipt ( 101) is done for only 6. . check for that too
