What is the SAP RFC Gateway for communicating with SAP ODA connector!!

I'm trying to integrate a SAP system with a PLC from Rockwell. However, first I'm trying to connect the SAP GUI with a OPC Server simulator (Matrikon). The point is that I'm not expert in SAP and I have problems to understand which are the steps I have to follow.

I know that I have to install the SAP ODA connector in the same machine where the OPC Server is. However in the help is written that it is recommended to install the SAP RFC Gateway in this machine too and I have been looking for this SAP RFC Gateway and I can't find that or I am missunderstanding!

Another question: is it possible to use dynpro application to communicate through RFC with this SAP ODA connector, or it is only possible using the PI sheets?

Could someone please help me with this task and explain me what do I have to do??

Thanks a lot and I will be looking forward for your reply!

This is the PI (Process Integration) forum. I don't think this is the best place for this query. As a result, we will forward this thread to the [SAP GUI |SAP GUI;forum. Hopefully you will get a better response on that forum.
