Hi Folks,
Is there a way to default the initiative phase type when creating an initiative without using a template? Prefer to avoid using a template if possible.I have done the global setting 005 Default Project Management Phase Type under Area 009 Portfolio Item Project Integration. I am on PPM5.0.
Thanks,
Lashan
Hi Lashan,
Please maintain default phase type in the user setting in front end of cProjects or maintain the values for DPR_USER_SETTING for the user in the backend.
This should defualt the initiative phase type as defined in the user settings.
Regards
Amit

Hi Lashan,
Good Morning...
Its been a long time that you faced this issue and I believe you could have resolved it then.
I am now trying to achieve the same, default phase type for initiative phases.
User Settings option to define default values refers to Project Phase and here we deal with Initiative Phase. I have tested this by maintaining the solution as suggested and it didn't work.
I found this message in SCN and was curious to know if maintaining default Phase Type addressed your requirement.
Awaiting your response.

Thanks Amit, this can potentially work for us.
Arbind, thanks for your response, but could you be a bit more specific on the "SPRO customization technique"?

Hi Lashan,
There is a way.
Use the SPRO customization technique.
Thanks
Arbind
