Upgrade SAP GUI from version 7.10 to version 7.20.

Dear all,

I am now going to upgrade the SAP GUI from version 7.10 to version 7.20.

I found two GUI installation file from SAP support portal which is related to GUI 7.20

1. NW 7.0 Presentation - 7.20 Compilation 2 Present. 1/2

2. gui720_4-10007878.exe

After I have installed "NW 7.0 Presentation - 7.20 Compilation 2 Present. 1/2 " the patch level is 4 and file version is 7200.2.4.1057 and Build level is 1207236.

Is it already the most updated patch of GUI 7.20?

Dear Sunny,

Kindly go to SAP Marketplace ->Support packagesa and stack and then i think "Front end components" and see whats the latest patch available for your version.

hi iam using sap gui 7.10 and planning to upgrade 7.20 i got this file from Market place

Error is

Please switch your terminal Server to install mode before running SAPsetup, you can do this using the commandline

"change user /install and reset to execute mode using "change user /execute "after installation.

Do you want to correct your server mode now? asking yes / no

I am installing GUI 720 by downloading "NW 7.0 Presentation - 7.20 Compilation 2 Present. 1/2 " which is GUI 7.20 with patch 4.

Are you using an administrator account to install the file?

I think the error may be caused by not enougth authorization.

i am installing on ECC 6.0 ( GUI 7.10 is running i am planned to upgrade by downloading the gui720_5-10007878.exe from SMP)

Are you using an administrator account to install the file? Running through ADMINISTRATOR

Yes patch 4 is the latest for 7.20
