Customization of Detailed Navigation iView

Hello,

at present I´m curious about the question wether it possible to customize the Detailed Navigation iView in EP 6.0 SP2 in way that makes it possible to integrate additional Navigation Nodes.

The Scenario is the following:

MY company seeks to integrate WCM into the EP. For a first, lightweight approach we want to display content delievered by the WCM in an Application-Integrator- or URL-iView. In order to relaize a seamless browsing experience we want to expose the navigation structure of the WCM in the Detailed-Navigation iView. The navigation structure of the WCM would be exposed using a web-service.

Our problem is that we haven´t found an appropriate manner yet, that enables us to dynamically (per request) integrate navigation structures from the WCM as additional Navigation Nodes in the Detailed-Navigation iView.

Any help is appreciated.
