SAPJ2EE Engine 6.30 doesn't start

Former Member

hello,

after we instatlled WebAS 6.40 and SAPJ2EE 6.30 everything works well (SAPJ2EE Engine, SLD, Visual Administrator, SDM). But we was not able to start the examples in the SAPJ2EE Engine (localhost:port).

We was also able to start and stop the J2EE Engine by using WAS 6.40 (Transaction: SMICM). After we modified the SAP Profiles as we had to do, we have to restart the application-server. Afterwards the SAPJ2EE engine starts, but the log-file of the developer trace (SAPMMC)shows us that the J2EE Engine cann't be activate. So an automatic shutdown appears and the SAP J2EE startup Framework killed.

Is there anybody who can help us.

Regards

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

Pls make sure that SAP profiles which u have modified is not of the CPIC users. This is because, in both the J2EE visual admin and ABAP stack you will be having these users in the UME and will be used for communication between both the engines - ABAP & J2EE. Just make sure that all these CPIC users are having the necessary profiles/roles attached and make sure that in the Visual Admin also, all these profiles are in sync.

Hello _JK,

thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately it did not function. I deleted the J2EE-Engine and installed it again. Now it runs, but don't ask me why.

regards

Andreas
