From MII 12.0 to MII 12.1

Hello,

we'll have to develop a solution on a MII 12.0.x system and later on we'll have to install it on another, separate system, running MII 12.1.

Is there a migration tool for the porting of the code from MII 12.0 to 12.1 or the standard export project - import project could work?

Hi,

Migration tool will be available for MII 11.5 to 12.0. I believe it wont work for 12.0 to 12.1.

Export and import option will work fine.

Rajesh is correct and for clarification purposes, the standalone migration tool is for getting 11.5 content from the file system into the 12.x NW database backend (and also does file modifications as necessary).

Starting with 12.0 the Project export screen can be used, and the zip file contains an ExportManifest.xml file which includes the source MII version, so when importing it into newer releases (NOTE: Backwards Compatibility is NOT supported) the system will know what additional inline migration tweaks need to be made to content objects.
