Limit of app. server flat file length when using TRANSFER

Hi,

I'm trying to write data to a flat file on app. server using TRANSFER statement.

Each record in the internal table has a length of 1600 characters (Type C).

When I see the file after completing the program, I see that after 990 characters the records is getting truncated and I'm not able to view further content.

Is this a known issue? If so, is there any work around?

Any help.. would be highly appreciated.
