SAP CRM webGUI - custom button and custom popup

Hi,

I have a requirement like this. Please suggest.

I need to have a custom button on main screen of WEBGUI.Once i click on button, a popup with custom fields to be displayed. I enter values and click save, a program/transaction should trigger.

I need to know how to create the custom button and custom popup with fields entry on WEBGUI.

Here in my project, the enhancement set is already enhanced. Can i use same? or need to enhance the standard compnent or view?

Hi,

I understood that your requirement is to create a custom button in a standard view, right?

In this case, you will need to enhance your standard component and the corresponding view, using an enhancement set available in your system.

Hi Ashu,

There are 2 distinct requirements here:

1. Create a new component : For this enhancement set does not come into picture. You go and create a new component and views.

2. Add required logic to one of the existing components so that you can call above z component as pop up: In this case you will enhance your standard component using enhancement set.
