Are IT461, IT462, and IT464 all for the Province of Ontario?

As mentioned by Howard, double check your infotypes.

What are the 3 values on the employee's IT0461 ?

What province is assigned to the employee's IT0462 ?

What province is assigned to the employee's IT0464 ?

Are there any gaps in the validity dates of all the Tax Infotypes ?

Sanju,

One of the tables that contains entries for provinces is T5KWA. I'm not sure how the error message would be presented if that's the issue. Is there an entry in that table for Ontario?

Howard

Figure the amount of earnings are non-taxable. These earnings fall under the categories of reimbursements or other miscellaneous items that would be the same as if you were paying the employee straight cash that would not have any deductions connected to it. Mark these off as "Non-Taxable Earnings."

Why are people wasting money on these silly surveys? We live in a country where we are taxed worse then Medieval peasants, we pay user fees to use what our taxes pay for, car insurence is government sanctioned extortion and we have to pay for plastic bags. Its not that we don't make enough its that everyone takes as much as they can from us and nobody tries to stop it

We had that problem earlier in the week and found that it was because the system was trying to retro back to a period before the earliest allowed retro date per the control record. The payroll control record had 1/1/2010, and the employee had a retro back to 1/1/2010, but between the Jan 2010 and Feb 2010 payrolls, there was a prior year adjustment for 12/31/2009. The system could not access the data for 2009 during the retro and gave the error msg. Since we didn't really need to retro that far back, we changed the earliest MD change date on the employee's infotype 3 record and that fixed the problem.

I'll have to remember that one Sharon as it could be a valuable trail to follow in debugging a similar problem, but it shouldn't apply to Sanju's problem since he mentioned that the employee was "hired at 2011/01/01" and all tax infotypes are in sync. So that employee couldn't have adjustments retroactive to the previous year.
