Storing password in data dictionary table

Hi,

My requirement is as follows. I want to store Passwords for User IDs in a table. I want to generate a table maintenance for the table. The user should not be able to see the password in sm16. It should be in encrypted form

    Hi,

    We have used the following solution:

    We create a maintenance view with a table maintenance dialog. In the table maintenance generator, we add an event (Event 01 - Before saving the data in the database

    ) in which we encrypt the entered password. You can use your own method for scrambling the password, but you can also look at function module HTTP_SCRAMBLE for this.

    As a result, you can maintain the table in standard table maintenance, and the password is stored in encrypted form in the database.
