User unable to logon after network outage

Hi,

We experienced a network outage which subsequently recovered. However there is one particular user who was unable to logon be it on his PC or another PC. After entering his userid and password, Sapgui just shows a hourglass forever. No error message or timeout. Only when we restart the SAP instance, then he is able to logon again.

Can someone advise what could be the problem? We are on ECC 6.0.

Regards,

Lim

Search for a lock in database level.

In one client, when we change our password at database level and we don't make the commit , it ocurrs the same and the reason is that the row is locked.

When we do the commit or we kill the session, the user can log on normally

PD: change the password at database level only works for old versions. Don't use in Netweaver versions because it don't works

You have to search over table USR02 ( field UFLAG is for passwords )
