Pick Strategy - Partial and Full Pallets

We have a fixed bin (001) maintained based on Min/Max and overstock bins(002) which can hold a pallet each. While picking for outbound deliveries, we want the TOs to be directed to the fixed bin(001) if the delivery quantity is less than a full pallet or to be directed to the overstock bin(002) if the delivery quantity is equal a pallet.

This will reduce the number of replenishment we have to carry out.

Can this be achieved using standard configuration or do I need an user exit to force this behavior?

There is a standard SAP picking strategy to do this "M" Large/Small Quantities and it basically allows you to pick small quantities from one storage type and large quantities from a different storage type, for example boxes or pallets. You will need to create your materials at the storage type level and indicate the control quantity on the WM 2 view to control which storage type the marterial is picked from.

There is one additional factor in this. The Strategy for large/small quantities need a FIFO on the removal for the overstock bin.

We use pushback racking on the overstock bins which needs a LIFO approach. Is there anyway to make the "M" strategy work in this scenario?

To use LIFO strategy - in the definition of storage type , enter L in the Picking strategy field.

Using strategy M on the pick bin mandates that we use removal strategy F on the overstock bins. Currently we use L (LIFO) on the overstock bins due to the physical limitation of using Pushback racking system. Is there a way to implement strategy M whle using L in the overstock bins without using any user exit?
