KM Performance for distant offices

Hello,

We are an international Company with a lot of small offices around the world, but with 2 main locations: Israel and US.

Our Portal development and Administration team is currently located in Israel and so are our servers. we are using a lot of our own java iViews and also

KM iViews for presenting CM.

Our main performance problem is that our US users are complaining about bad performance for our KM iViews (resource collections rendering and initial iview loading are very slow i.e. 5-6 sec. per action).

Does anyone have any suggestions about what we can do to improve the performance of KM users in US.

We currently have 2 portal servers (clustered) located in Israel.

1 portal database and PCD server located in Israel.

1 portal ldap server (replicated from our corporate ldap server) located in Israel.

1 corporate ldap server located in Israel.

We are using windows machines as we have EP 5 SP5 portal.

I would very much appreciate a suggestion that will allow us to keep the performance we have in Israel but also improve what the US users have.

Hi,

we had also performance problems with browsing in repositories and taxonomies when we used EP5 SP5.

We updated our portal to EP5 SP6 and installed CM SP6 Patch 1 for improving the performance in the content management component.
