Adding more Mimetypes for TREX indexing

Hi,

we are using TREX for indexing DMS-Documents. We need to index some more filetypes (like *.msg-Files).

I read in some postings that these settings can be done in portal-settings. But we are not connected to portal with this trex-server.

How can i add more mimetypes without portal?

Yes, i know about this thread, but they solved the issue through portal. We do not have any portal in this case! We need a method to ad more mimetypes without having to enter settings in portal... .

As pointed out in the thread referenced by Mikhail, if you are not using the portal then the only place you set mime types in TREX is in the TREXValidMimeTypes.ini on the TREX server. After adding these entries, a restart of TREXPreprocessor and reindexing is required.

Hi Lorcan,

i allready added these rows to TREXValidMimeTypes.ini through TREX-Admintool:

application/vnd.ms-outlook

message/rfc822

After that i restartet the preprocessor service again through TREX-Admintool.

Then i started reindexing by using transaction SKPR07:

Button Re-Index for document Class DMS_PCD1, DocArea DMS and the valid Index category

==> Still can not search in Content of MSG-Files. Even when searching by Filname ("msg") no results!

Tried also to launch Program RSTIRIDX in se38 after restarting TREX ==> again same result

Am i doing something wrong?
