Debugging on the server

Hi,

Would like to know one thing. Why does the server restart when the debugging process is switched on.

Can anyone provide insight into the same.

    Hi Sidharth,

the JVM is switched to debugging mode (opening a socket to connect for getting debug infos, starting to emit debug infos and more).

So the answer is, the JVM is restarted in debugging mode and consequently the server node, which runs in this JVM, also.

It's not recommended to keep debugging turned on all the time, since it significantly slows down the JVM and leads to very much higher memory consumption also.

    Hope that helps.

    Regards

    Stefan
