Why SAP PI b2b add-on does not process the TA1 acknowledgements. I saw the tables had TA1 segment description bu there was no association. The converter doesn't work with TA1 files.
Any progress with this issue? I am surprised to see that SAP doesn't seem to mention TA1 anywhere in the documentation. I wonder if the TA1 functionality for X12 has been forgotten!?!?
I have found some technical acknowledgement related notes:
2177968 - X12 does not have the option to perist the vaue of field ISA14
2133283 - Request Ack from TPM which should be functional ack actually requests Technical Ack
None of them seems to explain how to actually use the TA1 message.
It might also be worth noticing, that if ISA14 is set to 1 for a given inbound message (e.g. 850 order) AND if TPM partner acknowledgement settings for inbound is set to "read from envelope" for x12 THEN SAP PO B2B automatically generates a 997 message ?!!? Not really the processing I would expect - especially when considering note 2133283.
And what does the 'Request' X12 acknowledgement setting in TPM for outbound really do? What effect on the outbound message does it have? None that I can see, but of course it is possible to do a lookup from the mapping. I was just hoping that the adapter module would handle this generically.
