Hi

In my opinion you would need a separate role for each sales man...

Once you attach a role to the User Id, the user will have the access to a certain set of data... Now that your requirement is to restrict the auth individually, it means a separate role to be created for each user

thanks. my twin requirement is to prohibit the salesman from seeing the lot cost of the items they sell. This is a calculated value on a form. Can I restrict access to a form by creating a authorization object for it?

Can I also achieve the same by rescticting access to specific KE30 reports by report name. I tried to add the report name to the Profitability Report: Report Name (see below), but it seems the sales rep id is taking precedence.

Object K_KEB_REP Profitability Report: Report Name

Field Name CEREPID Report

Z-2OC

Z-3SC

Hi

I dont think such a level of authorization is possible

I guess what you are trying to achieve is that each sales man should be able to view his own performance and not other's performance...

As far as I know, such a level of authorization is not available

Yes, exactly. This also goes for territory mgr, he should see figures for his reps, but not other terrritory mgr's.

Hi,

creating authorization objects for CO-PA infosystem is definitely possible (using T-code KE37).

The only prerequisite is that the object to be checked is a characteristic in the operating concern where it should be checked.

I did this once for an own defined SD partnerrole which contained the "sales representative" information and the goal was that each sales representative should only be able to view his own revenues, gross margin, very similar to the requirement in this thread.

yes, I have a Z partner function in the sales order which flows to COPA docs as WWAR1.

Ex: Z1 - SalesRep, WWAR1 = 0009000044

Do I need to create a form under this scenario?

requirement: each sales representative should only be able to view his own revenues, gross margin via KE30.

I have successfully setup a role/authorization to achieve the requirement above for one salesman. My question is: do I need to create a separate role for each salesman?

Hi,

create the report using KE31/KE35.

If the salesman are available as a characteristic in CO-PA you can use this info and create CO-PA specific authorization objects that can be used in role maintenance.
