J2EE application in EP 6.0

Hi all,

I am a newbie in EP ,I have an normal J2EE applciation developed in netweaver studio and deployed on WAS.

My idea is to convert that into an iview and use it in portal.

My question: Is there any option to convert the application into iview or do i need to build it allover again as an Portal application project in netwaver studio and then create an iview out of the PAR file.

Thanks & Rgds,

Atul

    Hi Atul,

you can use the predefined URL-iView (http://media.sdn.sap.com/ebooks/ep6/addons/exercises/Create_URL_iView.htm) just to call your application or as an alternative (it is a bit more flexible concerning implementing SSO) the application integrator (http://media.sdn.sap.com/ebooks/ep6/addons/exercises/Application_Integration.htm; https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sapportals.km.docs/documents/a1-8-4/the application integrator in ep 6.0).

    Hope it helps

    Hi Atul,

since you asked some questions in the Web Dynpro forum before (without rewarding any contributions BTW), you might want to integrate a WD application into EP.

This is described in detail in the WD" target="_blank">https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/developerareas/webdynpro.sdn?page=TutWD19_PortalIntegration.htm">WD Tutorial 19

    • Hi Atul,

"Ill be sure to do that from now on" - I'm not 😊 (Where <i>are</i> the points gone?)

      "Any other options" - AppIntegrator.

That are the things thaught for your purposes.

      Try it, like it.

      Best regards

      Detlev
