DTP failure

Hi Experts,

I have a reload that I am performing and I am in BI 7.

I have done an init with data transfer and then a DTP to upload data from PSA(datasource).

I have huge data my DTP request shows red but the datapackages status still shows yellow.I have checked the Sm50 there is no background process running.

I have taken care of deleting the indexes before reloading but the DTP has failed. Please advise what could be the problem.

My DTP extraction mode is delta and the package size corresponds to packge size in source.

Thanks,

Tati

    Hi

If amount of data is very huge then it might have got timeout.

try doing load using process chain this will move dataload to background and hopefully wont time out or load data in chunks like in chunks of month.

    Regards

      Hi Suddep,

I have triggered the DTP via Process chain only, I have an init done to datasource with selections 000.2010 till 016.9999

If I can split what would be best split for these fiscal year periods and can I use delta as extracrion mode for all these split DTPs.

      Please advise.

    Hi,

Try increasing the number of parallel processes for your DTP to some higher value e.g 3 or 5.

To increase the number of parallel processes Goto -> Setting for Batch Manager and set Number of Processes as 3 or 5 in Parallel Processing
