data movement between cubes.

hi experts,

Am facing problem while moving data from two different cubes in to another cube. Am able to map all the fields but while executing it is giving some process error.. Please let me know how to do this...

whilst possible, I would always avoid loading data using a cube as the source. The infocube using the extended star schema is not efficient when used as a datasource as several tables have to be hit for each record, it is much better to load from a DSO where possible. Generally I have all my cubes loaded from a DSO with a 1:1 field mapping where possible for this very reason.

Inorder to load into an infocube from 2 other cubes, create a transformation between final cube & first cube(frm where you are extracting data) with, first cube as the source & final cube as the target. Map respective fields and activate the transformation. Then create DTP and activate it.

similarly, create one more Transformation betwn second nd final cube and DTP and activate it.

Then execute the two DTPs which will load the data from first and second cubes in to the final cube..
