SAP 8.8 Two Servers

Hi all,

We have recently upgraded our SERVER to SAP 8.8. We have a laptop on which SAP 8.8 client has been successfully installed and is working with the server. The laptop however was also used as a standalone installation. We would take the laptop to prospective clients and do demonstrations. I tried installing SAP 8.8 license manager and server installations on the laptop, but it does not work. The license manager will not connect and when I log into SAP it does not give me an option to pick the local installation on the laptop. Can anyone please help?

Hi,

It seems that the computer cannot ping itself when there is no network cable plugged in. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi,

Thanks for the response. The problem has now been fixed by adding an entry to the host file under C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. and then restarting the TAO NT Naming Service.
