The default wage type is set up so that the system will propose the u201Cstandard payu201D in IT0008 based on the Employee subgroup in all personnel areas. The Mode (LGMOD) for wage type assignment in T539A table is set as below:

F - The wage type is assigned for basic pay and cannot be overwritten (fixed value).

O - The wage type can be entered and/or overwritten.

BLANK - No wage type entries may be made.

Once you go into IT8 maintain screen, a default wage type will be populated. Setting of 'O' will allows you to remove this wage type and add a new wage type.

Adding few more info:

LGMST feature will group the control features for wage type specifications used for maintaining Infotype 0008. The return code of this feature will have structure - XX/YYYYYYYY, where XX represents the maximum number of wage types per record and YYYYYYYY represents the name of the wage type model maintained in T539A table.

The return code u201807/HOURLYu2019 while passing country grouping 10 (USA), employee group and subgroup means, for US, only 7 additional wage types can be added to Infotype 0008 and the wage type model for the employee is HOURLY.

Thanks for all for you immediate responses but when i am indicating 'F' against a wage type - 1000 for IT8 that wage type value i.e. amount is getting replaced.

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

In Table T539A (Default wage types for basic pay), option 'F' & 'O' at Mode column represent if the wage type can be entered and overwritten or not in Basic Pay.

Option 'F' - wage type cannot be overwritten.

Option 'O' - wage type can be overwritten.

HI,

as far as I know If this mode is set as O, you can replace the wage type with others in IT0008 and if it is F then u cant.

If you maintain the table T539a then by default all thses wage type will come in infotype 0008. You don't need to maintain one by one wage type.

Then this table link to LGMST feature
