REORDER PLANNING

Dear Gurus,

for a material have setted following parameters:

MRP Type: VB

ROL:10

SAFETY STOCK:5

LOT SIZE:HB

MAX LOT SIZE:200

wheu we run theMRP ,system consume safety stock we do not want to consume safety stock.

please advise for setting

Ur rerquirement is still not clear to us.Kindly elaborate

When we consider reorder level planning Safety stock has less meaning as it is part of reorder point e.g.Reorder poing is 1000 and safety stock is 50 .Then system will always check stock reorder till 1000 and not 1050 i.e. aditional safety stock is not considered

Hi,

suppose i have stock 100 ea, satety stock is 10 ,avialable qty : 90,now for a prodcution order if requirment qty isa which is 100

system is consuming 100 ea it is not lefting 10 ea which is safey stock

my requiment is system shold consume 90 ea for remaining 10 ea it should create proposal.

Hi Siva,

As explained earlier Safety stock is not considered seperatly in Reorder Planning it is part of reorder Point.

Coming to ur example. If RO poing is 100 stock is 90 and SS is 10.in MRP run proposal for 10Qty will be created as total stock is below reorder stock.

Hi there

You are using the Lot Size HB,, in this sytem will check the "Maximum stock level"** since it is 100, system picking that value and providing the procurement proposal as 100 even though you have stock 10,,

use the Lot size EX, sytem will work as you want ( Procurement proposal for 90)
