ESS Quota Overview "table is empty"

Former Member

Hi,

Interesting problem....We have an SAP portal with ESS. When you go to Working Time -> Quota Overview one normally gets a table displaying your time quota information.

I have this problem that one particular user does not see his information. All he sees is an empty table with the message "table is empty". On the back-end his master data does exist since we can see it with PA30 and other custom reports. His portal authorizations as well as back-end authorizations are exactly the same all the other users who can see the information.

Please assist.

Yes, have checked the table V_T556A_WEB and it has dates starting from 1990 and 2007.

This problem has been identified only with one user. Although it has records in IT2006.

I am wondering is there any SAP NOTE to resolve this issue.

Hi,

Do u want to once check what kind of authorisation this user has ?

Is it possible to try this user with complete authorisation to test if this is still an issue ?

Regi,

Have already tried that, the user has required authorization. His colleague with similar auth can able to view the Time Account.

hi

you can do one simple thing.

When the user clicks on the quota overview , ask ur basis person to check the log that comes in su53 , it will show the exact object at that point in time if there is any auth. issue.

Also if you do not get any thing in there , you can enable the debug mode in portal to check if there is any issue in the portal side. and also ask your portal consultant to check the trace log in the portal once the user clicks on that link , some hint you can get for this issue.

Hello Reema,

The only reason why the experts are directing you to the authorisation issue is since you have mentioned that this issue happens only to one user - I dont think that there is any problem in the config if others can view apart form single user.

Do a trace for this user and pls convery the message, will provide maximum support !
