Handling Italian Character ( any other Special Character)

Hi Experts,

We have the scenaria of IDoc to EDI conversion and in my EDI i get some Special characters like Italian or Russian character.

So in the Receiver Communication Channal , I have given the File encoding as ISO8859_5 . But it is still not working.

Can any one help me reading these characters in my CC.

Hi,

Try with file encoding like ISO-8859-1 (or) ISO-8859-2 (or) ISO-8859-5

Thanks for your answers... but i tried all that option and also tried using XSLT mapping as well ..nothing worked out..

It seems to be Russian characters...

in the Payload i see the actual character but when it passess the CC it is writing something else instead of that characters..

Did you verify that the receiver of the file accepts UTF-16?

You should ask first and not just guess.
