Error Message "No destination storage bin to be found in storage type YDG"

Hi

While posting a TO I'm getting the following error:

No destination storage bin to be found in storage type YDG
Message no. L3009

Kindly suggest what I'm missing.

Hi

Hope you are doing Put away/stock placement.

If it is Put away- make sure you have suffecient empty/partially filled bins ( according to Put away strategy) in your storage type YDG to place the stock, if the bins are not there pls create bins & try to do put away.

Hi Guys,

I assigned a storage type search but forgot to assign a storage section ID for my storage section search. When i did that the system allowed me to post the TO successfully.

Hello,

It seems that system is unable to find the destination bin when you are trying to create transfer order with storage type YDG.

Check the following , whether storage type search sequence is activated or not under following path

SPRO>>Logistics Execution>>Warehouse Management>>Strategies>>Activate Storage Type Search>>Determine search sequence

This needs to be checked for your warehouse number.

Depending upon the search strategy you are using , please check the following for combination of warehouse number and storage type under following path;

SPRO>>Logistics Execution>>Warehouse Management>>Strategies>>Putaway Strategies.

In this check whether, SUT and SU management check is activated, if so you need to maintain the settings for storage unit types, storage bin types.

Also check whether your storage type YDG is blocked for PLACEMENTS CONTROL. in transaction LS12

Here check in combination of your warehouse number and storage type.

The answer is simple

Your strategy is telling you to put the stock in St Type YDG and it cannot find any available bins in YDG

You can either change your strategy or create some bins in YDG of create the TO in foreground and manually type in where you want the stock to go

Hi Manoj,

To suggest you cause of this standerd error, need to know which putaway strategy you defind for storage typ YDG. If you have strategy "P" you need to checck all customising setting should be in place like

1)storage unit type definition for storage type, 2) Storage unit type allowed for the storage bin type, 3) you should have storage bins with that storage bin type available in storage type YDG 3) there should be empty storage bin available 4) need to check if storage bins are free to place stock in it... i.e. should be "Putaway block" free.
