Dear All,
I have certain activities like civil work, concrete slabs, piping work in my project . Based on the work progress I will do the Quality check and after approval from third party agency or internal quality checks I will proceed.Pls is there way to map this scenerio integrate with SAP PS.
If anybody can help me in this solution it could be highly appreciated. Please provide me the procedural steps if available.
Thanks in advance
Venkat
Try this simple scenario -
1. create dummy material numbers corresponding to each activity to be tracked ( example civil work, concrete etc)
2. Create QM master data for these materials. Use inspection type 89.
3. When each activity is completed, manually create inspection lots (if needed, you can automate this task using ABAP)
4. For each inspection lot created, Record results, defects, create defect notification etc.
5. UD on the inspection lot is your approval /rejection of the activity.
Hope this help.

Dear Kathula,
There is no direct integration with SAP PS and SAP QM.
There are two ways to resolve this problem:
1. Please create planned order through SAP PS. From Planned order, you create purchase order or production order. Do the goods receipt against that orders. Inspection lots will be created at the time of GR.
2. Create manual inspection lot (Inspection lot origin 89) and add some customized fields in QA01 transaction to address PS related information like WBS element, Project number etc.
Thanks & Regards,
Sandipta

Why don't you explore with PM-QM for projects. But I am not sure where you want to settle the cost ? You can create a task list in PM mentioning all your activities and create maintenance plan for the same without giving FL or EQ and attach your task list (ins points 300 or 310) in maint plan...make sure you assign ins type 14 to PM05 order type which normally used for calibration.
system should generate an work order and also inspection lot to proceed with your activities. You can comfirm your each activity thru IW41 for actual hours. This is just a thought..not sure it fits your requirement.
Mahee
as per my knowledge there is no separate settings for SAP QM -PS integeration.
just check the mvt types and make sure that qm is active for those mvt. types, activate 01, 05 inspection types for incoming and finished insp.
for quality point of view everything will be same as discrete manufacturing only WBS will be attached to each inspection lot
