Settle production orders: previous periods

Former Member

Guys hi,

I have an issue that someone smarter than me may have sorted out before: we just started to use SAP-CO i.e. look at the production orders, analyse variances etC... Previously We only use SAP-FI and ignore completely the CO module.

In this context I need to settle the production orders for January: the settlement I run is settling all production orders since the implementation of SAP in our Cny, although I did specify the cut off period (KKA0)

I end up with a production variance JE that is gigantic

Is there a way to only settle the orders for the period?

Thanks foy your time, again

Hi

The cut off period pertains only to WIP calc and not variances

Answer to your question depends on whether you are in Prod Cost By Order or Product Cost by Peroid

Go to CO03 > Header > Settlement rule... Do you see PER or FUL there as Settlement Type... I think it would be FUL...

Only if it is PER, you can settle by periods.... Else, it brings up the huge variances

In your case, the ideal thing would be to

1. Create a New settlement profile in OKO6 or OKO7

2. Check radio button "Not for settlement"

3. Create an LSMW for CO02 and change the settlement profiles in the Prod Orders...

These orders will no longer be called for settlement

HI,

there should be standard settlement profile "90" in OKO7 which is "not for settlement".

F1 help for the field: When you close the object (PP_order) or set the delete flag, the system does not display a message if the balance in the object is not zero. This is important for future archiving activities...

Christian and Ajay thanks again,

(yes Ajay the settlmt profile is FUL)

I am not sure I will be able to make the changes - never used LSM before

The alternative is to settle all in Jan and manage the variance. It's a one off.

your guidance is appreciated

Hi

1. T code CO03

2. Header > Settlement Rule

Once you branch into Settlement rule: Menu Go to > Settlement Parameters
