Passing result of 1st WebItem as Variable values to 2nd WebItem

Hello,

I have created a web template with two web items. 1st web item has var1. 2nd web item has var2.

1st web item has characteristic of var2 in the result. I want to pass the result from web item 1 as variable values to webitem 2.

Both web items are on the same web template. RRI is not acceptable to my users.

Please help me if any one has tried this type of situation.

Thanks

Srinivas

    Hi,

why not use variables with replacement path which can be replaced by a query result.

    Please see

      Hi Heike,

I used replacement path and the web template with two web items is working.

Now the issue is I want to create a URL with variable value prefilled for the first webitem. I do not want to see the variable screen shown to the user at all. For the web template properties has 'force variable screen' is unchecked.

Is this a glitch in SAP functionality that when replacement path variable with query result is used, the variables screen pops up for the 1st web item, even though I supply values for the variables belong to 1st web item. Here is the URL I am using to call the web template from browser.

      <SAP BW URL>&cmd=ldoc&TEMPLATE_ID=ZTEST2&CMD=PROCESS_VARIABLES&SUBCMD=VAR_SUBMIT&var_name_1=0S_CUS&var_operator_1=EQ&var_sign_1=I&var_value_low_ext_1=1001294

      I will appreciate your help.

      Thanks

      Srinivas
