Hi, Experts:

We have a real time cube being updated by planning sequences/functions. How can I find what planning sequences/functions are updating this cube?

Thanks,

Jenny

Hi,

You can go the transaction code: rsa1 and then select "Meta data Repository" option on the left side.

You can use Meta data repository to view the dependent objects for a infocube or any other BW object.

In your case, you can select "Infocube" option on the left side and then go on selecting your infocube.

Now you will get all dependent objects created on this infocube, which will include your plannign functions also.

Refer top the following link for more details on "Meta data Repository",

All:

The application was developed by someone else who left without document nor knowledge transition. The updates from using the normal transformations and DTPs are easier to find from the data flow. The difficult part are the updates from IP functions. I found Balajee's suggestion was the easiest way for me. I could go to matadata repository to find out the aggregation levels related to the cube or the multiproviders on the cube. And from the aggregation levels, I could find the planning functions and the related planning sequences.

Thanks for the help!

Hi.

Updates may come from several directions: scheduled process chain that executes some sequences, user updates etc ...

You should refer to blueprint or realization documentation and understand these processes.

Then, goto RSPLAN or WAD or BEX Analyser or RSPC for technical details.

Hi,

Go to the realated web Template and get the Planning Sequence .

Take the planning Sequnce and go to RSPLAN and get the related steps of that Planning Sequence.

or go to SE16 and check table RSPLS_SEQUENCE_S for the planning functions, fliters of that Sequence.

Thanks
