Repair ticket, what XML element to use and how to keep text formatting?

37 Views

What XML element shall be used for transfer of the Repair Ticket text message in the Nonconformance SOAP message?

The element names do not give any clue.

Looking at the u201CPCA Dashboardu201D in the u201CViewu201D tab you can guess that itu2019s the u201CCommentu201D element that shall be used.

   <soapenv:Body>
      <me:NCLogCompleteRequest_sync>
         <me:NCLogCompleteRequest>
            <me:NcLog>
               <me:Comments> </me:Comments>

I tried to use the u201CCommentu201D element but it seems impossible to transfer the text correctly formatted. All line breaks are stripped some ware in the process. The repair message ends up more or less unreadable in the PCA Dashboard text box.

Example Repair Ticket message:

T6
  EXPECTED          ACTUAL
  1.2M HENRIES    117.61U HENRIES
   LIMITS ARE 625U AND 1.87M HENRIES
B X:1.794 Y:5.709

Ends up as:

T6 EXPECTED ACTUAL 1.2M HENRIES 117.61U HENRIES LIMITS ARE 625U AND 1.87M HENRIES B X:1.794 Y:5.709

So to sum it all up:

What XML element shall be used for Repair Ticket text messages?

How to keep the formatting correct?

Please advice!
