Dear Experts ,
I have configured P.O release strategy long time back and it was working fine till yesterday after I configured release strategy for service entry the below message appeared while I am trying to release whether stock or service P.O :
(Purchasing document 3051000045 cannot be released
Message no. MEPO823)
Please help to solve this problem
Best Regards
when you create a new P.O, is it triggering release strategy? also when you alter the parameters to change the RS , is it triggering RS.
have you added any new characterisitics to the release class?
pl check the RS whch should have been triggered has a value for all the characterisitcs appearing in the document.
if release strategy is being triggered pl check is it becoz L2 trying to release without L1 releasing

Hi,
How PO release process links when SES release procedure . PO release & SES release process is different. In PO release, release characteristics created with structure CEKKO with respective field and in SES release , release characteristics created with structure CESSR with respective field.
Check you should have separate release class for PO & SES and should be assigned to individual release group.
Check any setting changed for PO release process during designing SES release process.( quickly check /compare with other client, you are having)

Make sure, you assigned release characteristics in CL20N.
Also make sure you have different release strategies for different approval limits....like suppose if you have 3 approval limits then maintain 3 release strategies..instead of only one.

Ibrahim,
Please check release strategy is triggered for that purchase order. If not check your settings.
If strategy is there and still you are facing the problem, Then check if you have correct release code assigned to your profile
