Deleting Xml Messages

HI,

We are working on XI2.0 I just want to delete all xml messages like asynchronous messages and messages with errors

I don't want to archive the messages .

Is There anyway to directly delete all messages ?

Cheers,

Tuhin

    Tuhin,

There is a way, <u>I don't recommend</u> though. The XML message info is stored in SAP Tables. You can delete the entries directly from these transparent tables & they won't be visible the next time in the Monitor tool.

    Again, <u>word of caution</u>, this is <i>dirty</i> & <b>NOT RECOMMENDED</b> !

    Regards,

    Homiar.

    Hi!

Why don't you use the deletion jobs (program RSXMB_MARK_DELETABLE_MESSAGES and

RSXMB_DELETE_MESSAGES)? These jobs will delete all successfully processed asynchronous messages after the retention period. They will not delete messages in error status though.

    Regards, Tanja

      Tanja,

You are correct, these jobs work like a charm. But I think Tuhin's requirement (if my understanding is correct) is to get rid of messages in error.

      Tuhin,

Please investigate tables SXMSPEMAS, SXMSPERROR, SXMSPMAST & SXMSPVERS.

      <u>Use with</u> <b>caution</b> & <b>at your own risk</b> !

Let me know if it worked.

      Regards,

      Homiar.
