Dropdown in ALV grid

I created a dropdown list in my ALV grid using the drdn_hndl in the fiedcatalog with the method set_drop_down_table like in program BCALV_EDIT_06.

this is ok but I'm wondering if there is a more "automatic" method to do this?

I have fixed values in the domain of the field. If I put this field in a standard screen field as a dropdown, I can choose to display the key or the text of the values.

Is there something similar in the ALV grid ?

I often use ALV Grid in my programs. But I don't think there is an automatic (even another) way for your request. But a general use FM may be coded for that by your own.

I assume when you say dropdown in ALV grid, you mean by having F4 help for a particular field in ALV.

Have you tried the field F4AVAILABLE in Field Catalog and set to X ? (LVC_S_FCAT-F4AVAILABL)

I personally haven't tried it, but a suggestion, nevertheless.
