Picking and shipping areas

Hi Gurus...

In our WM cycle, we have following steps...

1. Bin picking is done by scanning the bin

2. Picked material quantity are placed in a Box

3. This Box is placed in a Tote

4. There are Picking Zones Assigned to each Storage Type.

5 .Then the Tote will move on a conveyor belt which will automatically be guided to the Consolidation Area

6. Here the picking for various line items for a Sales Order are consolidated and sent to Packing Area

7. The items are Packed and will have to move to specified area called Shipping Area

8. There are 3 Shipping Areas (classified as Customer waiting with priority (001) , Internal Service or Repair (002), Top

Priority Deliveries (003).

Are PICKING ZONES same as PICKING AREAS? If yes, we assign bins to each of the PICKING AREA, then picking should happen from this area only. But in the Putaway we place the materials in certain BINS which are not assigned to Picking Area but to a Storage Section. In this case how the system will determine a BIN while Picking that belongs to a Picking Area?

While Picking, how to determine the bin that is assigned to a PICKING AREA?

What are these SHIPPING AREAS? (In WM there is nothing called as Shipping Areas?)

How to Map consolidation area? (For Picking)

While Putaway it is Deconsolidation Area (where material packing are dis-mantled and placed)

Can someone explain how this can be mapped in SAP
