EWA Email Configuration

Dear all,

I need your help in sending the EWA Report automatically.

I have added the Email recipient in T-code DSWP under my solution.

Also I have configured in T-code SCOT.

For test purpose I manually generated a EWA Report and after the background job SM :EXEC SERVICES, I checked the status of the mail in T-code SCOT,the mail is in waiting state for a long time but when I click on "Start Send proc for Selection", the mail is getting delivered.

Now what should be done to make it automatic?

Thanks,

Regards,

Hasan

NOTE : i referred this thread too.

Hi,

You have to check whether the SACONNECT* job is scheduled or not, if not scheduled you can schedule it from the SCOT Transaction.

Sam

What happens if you send a testmessage without the EWA in it?

Does it send automatically?

Go to "System - Short Message"

Enter a title, some words and a recipient and set the recipient type to "Internet address"

Send and wait for a few (if your job is scheduled every 5 minutes, I'd say 5 ) minutes...

You can monitor in SOST or SCOT.

For that I have create a EWA Session in DSWP,after sometime a bottle icon has appeared. Now how long will it take for the background job to start automatically?

In tx DSWP you can speed up things by clicking:

Edit - Start Service Processing.

This triggers the SM:EXEC SERVICE job.

Hello David,

I want to that to start automatically,so that after the EWA Report gets generated it will trigger the Email automatically.

So when will that background job get started automatically?

Thanks.

It runs once a day, you can check the job in sm37 to see when it is scheduled.

Hello,

If there are two bottlesd/flasks it means that SM:EXEC SERVICES is not completing, though it very well may be scheduled.

Check the job log in SM37 to see if it cancelled, and if it did whatt he run time error might be or if there is a dump in ST22 relating to the error.

if the job is scheduled and the flasks/bottles remain, then the job is not completing, and is failing at some point int he processing.

Dear all,

The Issue is solved now.

I can able to send email to the corresponding recipient automatically.

I had problem with two things which created this issue.

Firstly i re-scheduled the SAPCONNECT job in T-code SCOT and then I scheduled the background job SM : EXEC SERVICES correctly, which turned the bottle icon into a report icon after few minutes. N later the Email was sent.

Thank You for all your support

Regards,

Hasan
