Dear all,
There are materials for which the REM is activated & work scheduling view is also maintained.
When we create a Planned Order , order is created with PE type.
When we set the conversion indicator manually in Planned Order , it is not getting saved.
Hence can't convert the Planned Order to Production Order.
Any inputs?
Thanks & Regards,
Sheik
Hi Sheikh,
Though it has been very correctly answered by all gurus, in adddition to that i would like to request you to try the solution posted by Mr.Mithus ie. try to create production order manually, if you wish.

Hi,
For materials with REM, MRP always generates planned order with type PE, which cannot be converted
into production order.
But if you want to create a production order u can manually create a planned order with type LA & then
convert into a production order or you can create a production order directly.

Dear Sheik,
In Repetitive Environment (REM) there are no orders. It is quantity based production which is executed through the Run -Schedule quantity i.e. Planned order of type PE.
So there is no conversion of Planned order into Production or Process order.

Dear,
In REM there is no need to convert the planned order in Production order. We execute the planned order it self.
For REM, you will get the Planned Orders of Type: PE as You have a Prodcution Version and you have assigned REM Profile in the Material Master MRP - 4 View. So Production version is Marked as REM Relevant So your order type is PE.
