Release Strategy

Dear Friends,

I have modified one release strategy for PR.I am also found the release strategy tab in mE51N transation. But at the same time I am getting an error " Pl check the department Code entered in tracking no field" . There is no message no displayed. When I am putting the department code in the tracking no field the release strategy field disappears. Pl tell me where to find this error message . I want to change it to warning message so that my release strategy should work. I am not finding this error in Purchasing.

have you checked the value entered for CEBAN_BEDNR ( dept code in your case ) has a strategy associated with it?

Hi,

Please review the user exit EXIT_SAPLEBND_001 or EXIT_SAPLEBND_004. Probably this behaviour comes from the coding there.

I think that you chosse the charaterstic in communication structure (CEBBAN-- BEDNR)

Chek in your release strategy what field you have assing to the release strategy
