disp+work stopped

Hi Experts!!

I have SAP installed in my system which I can access through VMWare. It was working fine for a month or so, and now suddenly a problem came up. When I am trying to open the server is remaining in Yellow for long and is never turning green at all. When I checked, I found that disp+work.exe (Dispatcher) is stopped (greyed out). In a lot of posts I found that dev_w0 will give the details of error. I wanna check that file so that I can find some solution as some notes. But I am not sure how to check the file. Please help me in how to open dev_w0 file.

Hi,

it is a text file. You can open it with notepad, wordpad or vi (linux).

Thanks for the reply. But I was not asking for that. Actually I don't know from where I can access that file. I mean I can get Dispatcher Trace by right clicking on the Dispatcher - > Display Trace. Like this, where can I see dev_w0 file? Please help me out.

Hi,

the files are located in /usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance>/work
