Replicate Metadata or only Activate?

Hi,

I am logging to APO from my new ID. At first login and doing RSA1, it is asking "Replicate Metadata?" : Additional to Activation Replicate Metadata? These are the options in the pop-up:

1) Replicate As Well

2) Only Activate

3) Cancel

Can you please tell what should I select and what is the significance of the selection?

Hi,

If you have not created any object in RSA1, then select Replicate only.

=> When you select replicate, the data sources are replicated with respect to the data source in the source system.

=> When you activate the objects are activated (to make the object active for use)

since you have not created any object, you can just select replicate.

Hi,

I assume this comes up when you are dealing with any source system (which are connected to APO system). If yes it does not harm if you select replicate and activate. It will take longer.
