Fixed Asset Error: 'Invalid evaluation parameters, specify depn area

Hi Experts,

During creation of Fixed Asset Master Data, I encountered an error message 'Invalid evaluation parameters, specify depreciation area'. I reviewed all my definitions and I don't seem to see any missing definition.

I am using SAP 8.8 patch level 12.

The issue was closed as SAP recommended to updgrade sql to patch 3

Hi,

Hope you have setup the depreciation area, if you have,is the depreciation type you have setup to Posting to G/L

I just used the default 100 depreciation area and it is set to Posting to G/L.

Any other reason?

Hi Don,

What is the dereived depriciation area and Posting of Depreciation and Retrirement setup to.. these are the evaluation paramanters.
