Portal Component Life Time

Hi,

I am wondering about the portal component life time within the SAP Enterprise portal, e.g. assume a user has logged to the portal and has entered one portal component and their are some data being retrieved from the Database, those data has to be refreshed each time the user logon to the portal. However, on the doinitialization() method I am checking wither their is a bean for the user or not, once he got one the data will be manipulated from the bean not from the Database.

If any one get any idea a bout the life time of the component, i'll appreciate his help, thanks

Kind Regards,

Al-Suwaiyel

    Hi

The life time of the bean can vary. It is covered in the PDK documentation. They are application, session, page and user (I think that these are right)
