Consignment Fill up order to be cancelled

Dear Friends,

My client had issues a Consignment Fill up order, and goods were sent to the Agent. But in between truck met with an accident and goods came back to the factory.

In this case, where goods are not reached to the Customer as part of the consignment fill, what should we do?

Should we create Consignment returns with reference to the Consignment Fill up OR Cancel the the Fill up order???

Please assist.

Hello Trupti,

If the stock which is transfered to customer consignment via fill up order is lying in customer consginment in stpck overview, then it makes sense to create consignment pick up order, ( which is transferring the stock from consignment back to plant stock unrestricted use.

You need to create consignment pick up order (KA- Order type), with item category as KAN. This wil pick up movement type 632 and stock can be taken back in unrestricted use.

As consignment fill up is not relevant for billing/ invoicing, so as like consignment pick up which is alos relevant for billing.

I forgot to add, nit to go for consignment return, as it is relevant for billing, whereas you have just managed to fill the customer consignment stock via fill order ( mvt type 631), but still the owner ship lies with you, as cosnisgnment fill up is also relevant for biling.

Easy solution is to go for consignment pick up order.

Hi,

Consignment fillup (send materials to customer consignment). Here you have a consignment fillup order and a consignment fillup delivery.Fillup is only for transfer of stock from your stock to customer's but ownership still lies with you.if you check it will not even create any Accouning document at GI level even, it is standard SAP, so there is no question of generating billing in Fillup.

I think you can return consignment fill-up delivery.

Return will not work here. Specific movement type is required for transfer of material from Customer Consignment special stock to Unrestricted stock - which is only possible th. Pick-up - as per std. SAP Config.

Do consignment pick up as already suggested and also maintain the required order reason so that at a later date, based on this, you can track the status of such orders.

Sir,

Consignment Pick up is working fine, but the stock is coming back to Unrestricted stock. client wants the stock in Returns stock.

Logically, this is wrong due to the fact, you are taking the stocks back from your own location and not sold.

That is why, standard SAP has provided the movement type 632 which goes to unrestricted. If still this has to be changed, you can do so in your schedule line category (VOV6) where you maintain movement type 655.

I am not sure whether this will hit the correct inventory postings. Do a test scenario, take the concurrence from FI people on the inventory posting and if they give clearance, then move the request.

Pls. do transfer posting to return/blocked stock. Since it is a one time or infrequent activity - it is best to do a transfer posting instead of doing any setting in customization.

Consignment Return can not happen without Consignment Issue.

In your case you can do a Consignment Pick-Up.
