Hi All,
I have checked the forum but didn't find a question which answered my question - and having ploughed through a lot of documentation I am still not clear what is the right solution...
Some of our Users have PDAs.
They want to have offline/disconnected access to some BW reports - this means even when the PDA has not internet/cable/connection they want to be able to view BW Reports that they have previously downloaded.
My first thought was deliver the BW data via either EP or WAS or ITS using the correct User-Agent and respective markup - and then these pages will be in the PDA's cache.
I have tried this but the problem is when disconnected the data pages require Authentication which requires a connection.
Considering SAP's available mobile technology solutions can anybody suggest which is the best direction to go in to enable our Users to connected, 'download' BW Reports to the PDA and then be able to view the BW Reports disconnected/offline ?
I thought the ME was mainly for the scenario where I am writing an APP on the PDA device - but does it also enable me to cache previously viewed data ?
Thanks,
Milan.

Hello Milan,
in BW the BEx can be used in order to show reports online on a PDA. For offline use (caching) the Reporting Agent precalculates pages that can be stored on the PDA. Please see the "How to... use BEx Mobile Intelligence". This link should work for you:
