Best practice for implementing a scalable ecommerce solution

Hi,

I'm new to SAP Business One, is there a white paper on the best practice of implementing a scalable ecommerce solution with SAP Business One using IIS/ASP.NET? What licensing and software(version)is need to implement a scalable ecommerce solution. How to integrate with trade partners via BizTalk server? Any help on these topics would be most helpful. Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Viet

Hi,

So is it save to say that Business One does not support these features out of the box yet?

Viet,

What did you ultimately do? My company's search and navigation software, Endeca InFront, is a great complement to any ecommerce deployment. I am trying to learn more about how you solved your problem so we can best support your SAP ecommerce efforts.

Best regards,

You might be interested in the DI Server that will be coming out in version 2004. This will provide a scalable SOAP interface into business one.

There was a live expert session titled "SAP Business One SDK 2004 Features and Functions Overview" that gave a few details about it. The recorded version and presentation will be available on the Service Marketplace.

There already is a very robust ecommerce package certified by SAP that runs on ASP.Net and integrates into Business One. It is called NetPoint Commerce and it is made by Praxis Software Solutions. http://www.praxissoft.net you can see a working B2C site of it at http://www.yakpak.com and it also has robust B2B functionality you can email sales@praxissoft.net for a demo. The cost is only a little more than it would cost to cover all appropiate licenses with SAP (included in the NetPoint cost) plus it works with SBO 6.5 and SBO 2004 and the DI Server is only available with SBO 2004

I tested the product and I confirm it is great. Some functionnalities are not implemented but it works and it is very easy to set up.
