After role restriction Post goods issue error

Hi experts ,

In the delivery creation process my sales order is showing in vl10c, and i am able to create the delivery in the background.

Then i am able to post the goods issue in VL02n.The picking and the transfer order creation is happening automatically.

But when i restrict the roles for the WM user i am able to create the delivery in the background but my picking and transfer order creation is not happening in the system automatically.i have added all relevant tcodes of WM to the user.

Please suggest me how to proceed with this issue...

Hello,

Picking occurs automatically irrespective if foreground (VL01N/V10A/VL10C) or background processing because of the WMTA output type which is configured in transcation NACE for application type V2-shipping.

Automatic picking will not happen if stock is not available or schedule line is not confirm in your sales order. It seems that the current stock which is available in your warehouse is already issued to other sales order or external requirements.

Please maintain the stock and check it.

Dear Tushar,

First of all Thank you so much for your immediate response.

Enough stock is available in the warehouse.

To make my problem more clear, automatic picking and transfer order creation happens in a perfect manner when i login with a user name which has full access to the system.

I goto vl10c select my sales order,

Click on background and my delivery is created successfully

When i goto vl02n and post goods issue i am able to post it.

But when i login via a username with role restriction my delivery is created successfully but picking and transfer order is not created automatically.In vlo2n in the picking tab the picking status is 'not yet picked' . I have even added all the tcodes in role as you mentioned.

I am not able to trace the issue.Please guide me.

Hello,

It seems to be authorizations issue. Login with role restriction user Id . Now go to VL02N and enter the delivery number for which transfer order is not created.

Now go to Sunsequent function in SAP menu bar and select Create transfer order. You will get error for TO creation, now enter /OSU53 in transaction screen and enter.

Show this details to authorizations/ basis for doing the corrcetions in role assignment.

Thanx again for prompt reply...

As you said when i goto subsequent functions it takes me to LTO3 to create transfer order manually.

This is because initially i added vl10c,vl02n,vl03n tcodes to the user.When i went to the subsequent functions all the three options were greyed out. Since i found that the picking and the transfer order creation has not happened automatically so i added these tcodes later.

List of tcodes which i have added in role:

vl01n, VL02N,Vl03n, Vl06o,Vl06p,lt31,lt32,vl70,vl71,LT 01, LT03, LT04,LT06,VL08, LT03, vl04 vl06

All the tcodes relevant to picking and transfer order i have added to the role.Now i am able to do the picking and transfer order creation manually but the client insists on automated process.

As per discussion with basis consultant , since we have only a single user for warehouse he has given complete authorisation on all the tcodes.

Still problem persists. Please suggest.

Hello Madhu,

I strongly feel that it is authorization issue, as like if you have given corrcet role authorizations to the restricted user and has maintained stock levels up to the mark then, transfer orders shall happen automatically.

Please keep all of us updated, if you get any breakthrough in this regard. I keep you posted , if I manage to find on this lines.

Hi Madhu,

Two things you need to cross check with the user role as mentioned bellow

1. Pick up the the authorizations objects for all the transactions in SU24(Transaction code wise) Cross check with the same user role as assigned or not

After assignining the missing autho objects

2. Check in SU53 for missing autho objects after running the each transaction code.

Thanks for you replies.

Even after all the authorisation was perfect was unable to find the reason behind.

Finally spoke with the client and decided to remove the relevant for picking from the item categories, since ours is a lean ware house.We really don require the creation of transfer order.

But still a bit confused if it will create any other issues in the background. Please suggest.

HI,

Creation and confirmation of Transfer order is not designed to be automatic.

This is because the location of the bins in the WMS is a variant unless it is a fixed location.

if it is a fixed bin/location, then you might need to customize a solution to it by tracing how the confirmation is going to update your picking in the delivery order.
